Across Our Ashes: All Episodes

The Story

Elizabeth waits in the emergency room through the night, only to learn her mother has died. She calls her husband Adam, but a woman’s moans interrupt the line, revealing he is with someone else. Tears fall as Elizabeth suppresses her trembling voice and demands one hundred million dollars. Adam’s angry voice erupts, questioning if he has been too generous over the past three years. He accuses her of blackmailing him like a thief and dismisses her mother’s condition as a mild shock. He insists the deceased is not worth the demanded sum. Before the call ends, the other woman speaks again, urging Adam that she cannot wait any longer.
