After She Removed 18 Diamonds, He Went Mad

The Story

Mira Vale removes the eighteenth diamond from her wedding ring to end a three year marriage built on lies. At seventeen, she saves Adrian Blackwood from a fire but loses her voice while Celine Rowe steals the credit. Adrian’s stepmother Vivian forces Mira to surrender her chance to speak again in exchange for her mother’s medical treatment. Adrian marries her later to fulfill his grandfather’s will, convinced she only wants his wealth. He humiliates her for years as Celine frames her repeatedly. Mira silently counts down their separation by removing one diamond for every betrayal. At the Blackwood inheritance ceremony, Celine delivers one final frame up. Mira hands over divorce papers and uses an AI voice to declare that she was never silent. Adrian finally discovers the truth about his savior and his own prejudice. Mira returns as an acclaimed designer with The 18 Diamonds collection. In her final piece, My Voice, she rejects his forgiveness, proving that some scars remain.
