The Story

Emily the office clerk prepares to return to Asheville, but coworkers insist the town vanished in a chemical catastrophe twenty-five years ago. She drives into the foggy settlement and discovers the residents exist as duplicated consciousness loops. Her father serves as an administrator, revealing that Emily is the sole test subject trapped in a simulated environment. She eventually breaks free from this illusion, confronting the harsh reality of her existence.
