Ava and Her Cat

The Story

The apocalypse transforms every animal on Earth into a terrifying giant. Ava’s orange tabby, recently neutered, suddenly grows to ten feet tall. He swipes his paw, pinning a ferocious dog, and promises to protect her. Then his expression shifts. He snarls a vow to find the vet who removed his testicles and kill him. Ava clings to his fur, breaking into a cold sweat. She is the one who signed the consent form. Her earlier tearful performance, where she claimed bad guys stole his balls, was a complete act.
