Beloved Daughter, Celebrity Wife, and the Scent of Gunpowder

The Story

Peter Rogers, a decorated secret agent who received the National Medal of Honor directly from the President, lives in quiet retirement. His peaceful existence shatters when Sydney, a stunning female CEO, mistakes him for her blind date while he dines with his daughter. The error leads to an unexpected marriage. Unaware of his legendary past, his former girlfriend and classmates treat him with contempt, mocking him as a useless man. Sydney refuses to tolerate this disrespect. She steps into a crowded party and proudly announces that Peter is her husband. This bold declaration instantly shifts the dynamic in the room, reversing the attitude of everyone present and silencing the mockery that had surrounded Peter until that moment.
