The Story

Kai Mercer loses his primary seat after rejecting his sponsor, leaving him to manage his father’s debts and his mother’s medical care. Kai develops deep feelings for both identities, but the revelation of Adrian’s dual role fractures their trust. When the deception surfaces, Kai walks away from the relationship. The separation triggers a cascade of kidnappings, threats, professional investigations, and an ethics hearing. Despite these severe obstacles, the two men eventually rebuild their bond.
