Beneath the Freezing Rain, I Tore Off the Traitors' Masks

The Story

Chloe awakens three days before her death, determined to break the cycle. Jack and Mia conspired to kill her during the global flood, so she immediately liquidates her assets to stockpile supplies and reinforce her apartment. As waters engulf the city, she enjoys grilled meals and wine inside her fortified home. Her former allies freeze and starve outside her door. When they attempt to breach her defenses, Chloe repels them with force. She ultimately escapes the devastation, leaving her betrayers to their own misery.
