Breaking the Deal with the Hockey Bad Boy

The Story

Jane Wellsy hides a dangerous secret about her feelings for stepbrother Nate Duncan. Her arch-nemesis, Zach Gates, is the only person who knows this truth. Complications arise when Nate starts dating Melissa, a transfer student who bullied Jane in high school. Melissa stumbles upon a steamy story Jane wrote and demands to know if it depicts Nate. Zach intervenes to protect Jane from exposure. This incident sparks a fake dating arrangement designed to keep her secret safe. As they spend more time together, Jane sees beyond Zach’s cold exterior. She discovers a warm, caring heart waiting to heal her heartbreak. Zach stands by her side, offering support where she least expects it. The dynamic between the two shifts as genuine care replaces their hostile history.
