Brides in Smoke

The Story

Ella and Leah, long-time best friends, wed the Harper brothers, firefighter Charles and physician Noah. On their third anniversary, Charles’s former flame traps Ella in a room engulfed in flames. When Ella pleads for Charles to intervene, he dismisses her distress to locate his ex-girlfriend’s cat. Leah storms in to pull Ella from the danger and contacts Noah to save Ella and their unborn child, only to face ridicule. The betrayal and years of misery shatter their marriages. The two women, heartbroken by the men’s callousness, resolve to end their unions with the Harper brothers. They decide to file for divorce together, rejecting the toxic relationships that have defined their lives.
