The Story

Angelica carries a sixteen-year burden of guilt over her mother’s death in childbirth. Her father, Martin, neglects her, while her brother Christopher despises her. She clings to the only warmth he ever showed her, but that comfort vanishes when cousin Madison moves into the house. Christopher turns fully against Angelica, even wishing she had been the one who died. That wish seems to come true when she is diagnosed with cancer. After her death, Christopher’s world begins to fall apart.
