Catch the Runaway Groom
The Story
Ivy endures public humiliation when wealthy heir Byron abandons her at the altar, forcing her into a marriage meant solely to cover her father's medical expenses. The couple establishes three strict rules to maintain emotional distance, explicitly agreeing never to fall in love. However, the fragile arrangement begins to crumble when Byron declares the agreement nonsense, admitting he has already developed deep feelings for her. He directly asks if she loves him in return. The dynamic shifts from contractual obligation to genuine romantic uncertainty as Ivy faces the sudden prospect of reciprocating his affection. Their relationship evolves from a transactional union into a complex emotional exploration, challenging the initial boundaries they set to protect themselves from vulnerability.
