Perseus imprisons Andromeda after faking the massacre of her people to force a marriage. Cecilia, a witch resembling Andromeda, becomes his lover and tortures the captive out of jealousy. Perseus fails to recognize the battered woman until the truth finally emerges. He immediately seeks revenge, only to discover that the supposedly dead Andromeda has completely vanished.
