Coffin of Betrayal

The Story

Maren Voss stands at her father’s grand funeral, listening to shocking thoughts echo from his obsidian sarcophagus. Inside the sealed box, her betrothed Kaelen and stepsister Nissa engage in forbidden lust while the crowd mourns the fallen war commander. Betrayed and seething, Maren rejects screaming the scandal aloud in favor of cruel retribution. She manipulates the funeral ritual to force Kaelen’s own father into action. The man hammers sacred silver nails to seal the two sinners alive within the coffin. Maren watches as the lid closes, leaving the lovers trapped in the dark while she walks away from the grave.
