Darling, Please Come Home

The Story

Mrs. Hearth’s perfect life shatters when her secretary, John, kidnaps her twin daughter Stella instead of Dennis. Fearing capture, John attempts to kill the child, but a janitor named Michael rescues her. Michael raises the girl as his own, renaming her Lia, and she grows up completely unaware of her former luxury. A decade later, Lia and Dennis attend the same school where he and his friends relentlessly bully her, ignorant of their shared blood. The Hearth family searches endlessly for Stella, never realizing that the girl they despise is the missing child. Humiliation follows Lia until she is expelled from school. Compounding her struggles, Michael is diagnosed with leukemia, forcing Lia to work to survive. When the truth finally emerges, Mrs. Hearth and Dennis desperately beg Lia to return home, showering her with extravagant gifts. Yet the damage is done. As John secretly schemes to ruin their chances, the family scrambles to redeem themselves and support Michael’s treatment to mend their broken bond.
