Dear Brother, You Loved Me Too Late
The Story
Angelica carries a heavy burden of guilt for sixteen years, convinced she killed her mother during childbirth. Her father Martin neglects her, while her brother Christopher despises her completely. She holds onto a single, fleeting moment of kindness from him as her only anchor. The situation worsens when cousin Madison moves into the household, prompting Christopher to turn his back on Angelica entirely. He even voices a cruel wish that she had been the one to die in the hospital. That grim prophecy comes true when Angelica receives a terminal cancer diagnosis. Following her death, the harsh reality of his actions sets in. Christopher’s own world begins to crumble under the weight of his past cruelty and the loss he helped facilitate.
