Destiny is self-determined

The Story

Chen Yunru, Chairwoman of the Li Group, returns home to purchase traditional bridal gold for her daughter-in-law, Feng Ruoxia. At the shop, she confronts Lin Qingyan, who arrogantly snatches the bracelet Chen Yunru selected and proclaims herself the mistress of the Li Group. This public display reveals that Chen Yunru’s son is maintaining an affair and intends to acknowledge Lin Qingyan at an upcoming welcome banquet held in Chen Yunru’s honor. Staying composed, Chen Yunru secretly devises a counter-strategy. During the banquet, she announces that the heir to the Li Group will be formally replaced by Feng Ruoxia. This decisive move leaves her son and his mistress stunned by the sudden shift in family power dynamics.
