As passion intensifies, Jayne’s success on the movie set draws attention, prompting threatening messages that link her to her late mother, the famous actress Ingrid Hart. Dom vows to protect Jayne as she investigates the source of the threats. The gaffer, Doug, emerges as the culprit, having been obsessively fascinated by Ingrid. He kidnaps Jayne, but her quick thinking leads Dom to a rescue that exposes their affair. Dom makes a secret deal with Jayne’s father to support her film career in exchange for returning to London.
