Don't Look for Me When I'm Gone
The Story
Aunt Sandra’s home offers a fragile sanctuary after the loss of parents. Living under the same roof as the Miller brothers, the goddaughter receives abundant love and tenderness. She even envisions a future where she marries one of the two sons. This quiet stability shatters when Laura, the maid’s daughter, moves into the residence. The Miller brothers suddenly discard their affection, breaking the goddaughter’s heart completely. She eventually leaves the house behind. Once she is gone, the two men begin searching for her with frantic intensity.
