The Story

Sarah wakes up at the very beginning of the zombie apocalypse, carrying the memory of her own execution. Her husband had abandoned the settlement to take his childhood sweetheart to a mountaintop fireworks display, ignoring the danger that light would pose to the undead. In her previous life, she tried to stop them by pointing a gun at the woman, but that attempt cost her life. Now armed with the knowledge that the ignition of those fireworks kills everyone in the shelter, she resolves to take on the role of the villain. She must manipulate events to protect the trapped survivors, ensuring no one dies when the sky lights up.
