Dragon Fire Rises: A Poor Boy's Revenge

The Story

Kael stands alone in a world where contracted beasts determine fate, holding only three silver coins after the Hawk family’s rhinoceros kills his parents. Unable to afford a standard beast egg, he finds a cracked black shell in a mountain stream and hatches Hiccup, a gluttonous cub that devours magical power. Together, they pass the knighthood order’s entrance exam and defeat powerful foes. Marquis Hawk and his son covet this unique ability, framing Kael and plotting to steal the cub. When Kael suffers a life-threatening wound, Hiccup enters a draconic rampage that destroys the marquis’s manor. The truth eventually surfaces, and the Hawk family faces justice for their crimes. Kael becomes the kingdom’s first dragon knight. Three years later, he soars over the royal capital on his giant dragon. The former manor now serves as a school for poor children.
