Expelled at Middle Age, I Became the Fisher King

The Story

Hank loses everything on his fiftieth birthday when his daughter-in-law humiliates him over fish soup and his son Ryan drives him out of the house. After spending his life savings helping Ryan build a career, Hank finds himself penniless and broken. He turns to his daughter Lena, whom he had neglected for years, and reclaims his legendary status as a fisher king. Plunging back into marine fisheries, he catches rare, high-value seafood and makes a fortune in a spectacular comeback. This success revives the entire fishing village industry. Meanwhile, Ryan’s greedy family keeps stirring up trouble until they finally pay a bitter price and repent too late. Hank lets go of past grievances and begins a brand-new career journey. He finds warm family affection and peaceful belonging in his later years.
