Fading Love, Final Curtain

The Story

Yu Zheng discovers the true depth of her husband's betrayal on their fifth wedding anniversary. Fu Yunzhou and Yu Zheng were considered the perfect couple, but that illusion shatters when she sees him smiling tenderly at a younger female colleague. The situation worsens when the woman performs on stage wearing The Butterfly Lovers costume, a precious heirloom left by Yu Zheng's late grandmother. Trembling with rage and sorrow, Yu Zheng confronts Fu Yunzhou. He coldly shields the other woman from her accusations. This moment turns her despair into icy resolve. She decides it is over between them. Yu Zheng withdraws all her funding from her husband's company and ruthlessly sells off all her shares. She then vanishes without a trace. In her absence, she reclaims her passion for Peking opera, an art form she had locked away for five years. Her departure marks the end of their marriage and the beginning of her independent life, free from the constraints of their shared past.
