Fatal Prey

The Story

FBI agent Layla Mendes and assassin Raven Black collide when Raven refuses to pull the trigger for the second time. Five years earlier, Layla took a bullet meant for Raven, causing her first mission failure. Now, spotting her old target through a scope, Raven abandons the hit and rescues Layla from a hail of bullets. They flee together, hunted by the underworld and corrupt officials. Their escape leads them from an abandoned warehouse to the FBI building, where they uncover the truth that Deputy Director Carter James orchestrated the murders of both their parents. Raven, once known as the cold Ghost, gradually learns trust through Layla’s resilience and gentleness. They eventually bring down Carter and receive judicial leniency. The pair settles on the Mexican coast, opening a flower shop named Moran. They adopt Anna, the daughter of their enemy, and build a peaceful, happy family life together.
