Fifty Dollars for a Hundred-Million Arms Deal
The Story
Kael faces a humiliating bureaucratic battle while preparing to close a $100 million port arms deal. The low-ranking operative submits three applications for a $10,000 hospitality budget, but finance director Elena deliberately stonewalls his requests due to a personal grudge. Her refusal leaves Kael without the necessary funds to entertain his high-value client properly. The situation escalates when his request is finally approved for a mere $50. Elena adds a snide remark, suggesting he use that small amount to host the client at a street stall, exposing the absurdity of the office politics he must navigate.
