Fire and Fractured Bonds

The Story

Ella and Leah share a bond forged through marriage to the Harper brothers, firefighter Charles and doctor Noah. Their third anniversary shatters when Charles’s first love traps Ella inside a burning room. Ella pleads for Charles’s aid, but he dismisses her urgent cries to rescue his ex’s cat instead. Leah storms into the flames to save Ella and her unborn child, only to face Noah’s mocking laughter when she calls for medical help. Years of miserable unions leave both women feeling deeply betrayed by their husbands and their own choices. United by this profound betrayal, the best friends abandon their individual grievances to stand together. They resolve to end their marriages to the Harper brothers, filing for divorce as a united front against the men who failed them.
