The Story

Mia awakens trapped inside a werewolf novel, existing as an abandoned pup who finds a home with the Hawthornes. This family faces certain destruction at the hands of Serena. Mia vows to save them, unaware that Marcus, Ethan, and Ryan hear every single thought she has. Her mental warnings successfully protect Ryan’s falcon and spare Cole from a three-wolf ambush. These actions, however, expose a dangerous secret to Serena. The antagonist realizes the pack can access Mia’s mind. While the Hawthornes race toward Cole, Serena locks Mia in a room and drains her Fortune. She then raises a silver blade. Ethan reaches the door.
