The Story

Elodie, the Empire’s premier socialite, attempts suicide three times for her supposedly deceased husband, Oswin. He fakes his death to wed her stepsister and demote her to mistress status. Upon awakening, Elodie chooses to marry Tyrant Ashley instead. As golden wedding carriages pass by, Oswin pleads for her affection. She rejects him completely. Elodie now rules beside her new king, having escaped the fate of a discarded wife.
