The Story

Alpha Damien returns home with an orphan named Lila to settle a life debt, instantly relegating Serena to second place. Lila soon frames Serena for losing control of her wolf, prompting Damien to lock her in the silver cells for three days. The toxic metal poisons her body and withers her wolf while she begs for mercy. Lila watches from the sidelines, feigning concern as Damien inflicts the torture. To please the orphan, Damien later strips Serena of her seat on the Pack Council and hands it to Lila. Serena remains silent until she severs their mate bond. Days later, Damien writhes in agony from the broken connection when he learns of her new allegiance. She has joined the royal elite unit known as The Talons. She refuses to return to the pack. Damien shatters under the weight of her departure.
