He Chose His Mistress, I Chose the Don

The Story

Liam shatters the engagement dinner by admitting he has claimed another woman. The protagonist had once saved his life, breaking her own hand to protect him, and trusted the blood oath he swore. In exchange, he steals her work, uses her to conceal his affair, and leaves her stranded in enemy territory. She severs the bond, declaring her affections pledged to someone else. Liam now begs at her gates, desperate to win her back. The man she has chosen is a Don whose power Liam cannot challenge. The final confrontation takes place during a family dinner. The outcome will see either his mistress or his dynasty fall.
