Flora Shea faces betrayal on her coronation day when Prince Dean Cedric Shaw and Gwen Perry force her to marry a beggar named Xander Shaw, the supposedly dead former Crown Prince. An ambush in the Imperial Mausoleum leads to her imprisonment and a pyre execution. Xander marches on the palace to intervene, but it remains uncertain if Flora will be saved or sacrificed again.
