Hearing My Boyfriend Sleeping with Another Woman: All Episodes

The Story

Verona Baker freezes in the freezing night air, listening to the sounds of betrayal drifting from the lit window above. Upstairs, her boyfriend Brennan grips Talia’s chin and threatens her with a low, rumbling voice if Verona discovers their affair. Talia laughs, dismissing his warning with a kiss, and their shadows tangle against the glass. Verona remembers Talia as the cruel leader who bullied her in middle school, forcing her to transfer schools and spend years in doctors’ offices. Though Brennan saved her from that darkness in high school, he now sleeps with the very person who destroyed her. He knows exactly who Talia is, yet he continues the relationship. Verona stands trembling, her hands clenched so tightly that her nails break the skin of her palms. The wind cuts through her as the sounds above persist, leaving a hollow ache where her heart used to be.
