The Story

Graciela Chávez stands firm against her son's desperate pleas and his wife's threats regarding their grandson, refusing to surrender her hard-earned savings. After the divorce, her son delivers food and suffers a traffic accident, which forces him to become self-reliant. He eventually opens a successful restaurant and begins sending his mother money every month. Graciela Chávez used this apparent cruelty to teach her son independence. She now enjoys her retirement with her savings, free time, and her partner.
