The Story

Mermaid Lyra slips into a medical school to rescue her mother, who has been imprisoned for a decade. She develops feelings for Adrian, the director’s son who survives only on her mother’s blood. As illegal human experiments and a cruel biological secret come to light, Adrian chooses to abandon the mermaid serum. His decision leads to his death. Lyra then liberates her mother and the other test subjects. The ordeal concludes with bittersweet heartbreak for Lyra.
