His Pawn, His Obsession

The Story

Clara endures ten years of humiliation and neglect in the Bellamy household, masking her true strength while her step-sister receives all the favor. Her powerful backer, Mr. Yates, becomes an unexpected obsession for the man who is cold and aloof. Despite being ten years her senior, he falls for her and transforms into her instrument for vengeance. Just before the wedding takes place, Clara vanishes with the money. Mr. Yates travels thousands of miles to find his bride. He corners her, pressing her against the wall, and growls that their relationship is not something she can simply end.
