I Called Off The Wedding

The Story

Edward Henderson conceals his fortune to prove to Irene Lawson that she loves him for who he is, not what he has. He intends to unveil his true status on their wedding day, but Nancy, Irene’s friend, disrupts the plans. Influenced by Nancy, Irene begins testing Edward with absurd demands. Despite his earnest pleas and logical explanations, she refuses to listen, following her friend’s advice instead. Confronted by a woman who no longer resembles the sincere person he cherished, Edward decides to call off the wedding.
