The Story

Luke Wilson risks losing the Blue Ocean Aquarium he inherited from his grandfather, but a sudden ability to understand animal speech changes everything. With his last hundred thousand dollars, he purchases a polar bear that is miserable due to a lack of cold baths and scratches. The aquarium becomes an instant sensation. Luke continues to take risks by curing a depressed emperor penguin whose mirror was dirty and befriending a sea lion that simply wants to sing badly on stage. He also gets a pod of bored dolphins to groove to street beats instead of classical music. Rival owner David attempts to destroy the business by planting problem animals. When a wild orca goes berserk on live television, David dares Luke to intervene. Luke wades in and pulls a broken turtle shell from the whale’s teeth. The grateful orca decides to stay with him. Luke’s gift turns every attack into applause and builds an aquarium where the animals are finally happy.
