I Chose the Office Laughingstock

The Story

Emily defies her father’s arrangement to marry an aging wealthy man by selecting Alex, the office’s acknowledged good-for nothing employee. Her choice results in immediate disownment and the loss of her career. She begins a humble life with her mysterious programmer husband, facing constant workplace bullying and business traps set by her stepsister. When the family frames Emily and burdens her with massive debt, Alex stops hiding his protective nature. He reveals himself as the low key heir to a vast business empire rather than an underdog. Using his absolute power, he dismantles every conspiracy against his wife. He then bestows upon Emily a coronation of true love and dignity before the eyes of the world, securing her place in a new reality.
