I Fired My Guardians and Bonded the Dragon King

The Story

Irara, the heir to Storm Crown Academy, carries sealed ancient phoenix fire that her mother tried to protect with dragon guardians. Raon and Sylas, assigned as her protectors, abandoned her after Leila arrived, prioritizing the newcomer over Irara’s injuries. The betrayal deepens when Leila destroys Irara’s life spark, prompting the dragons to turn against their former charge. Heartbroken by their betrayal, Irara severs their contracts and ventures into the forbidden zone. There, she bonds with Kael, the imprisoned Ancient Primordial Storm Dragon King. Kael forms an equal life bond with her, saving her life by sharing half his dragon heart. Together, they explore Misty Gorge and untangle the Ash Phoenix’s sorrow. They return to dismantle the academy’s unjust slavery-based dragon contracts, choosing love and equality for all dragons.
