The Story

Turbulent times define the Republican Era as chaos erupts within the Great Xia Nation. The Wokou Country frequently causes trouble, and its lord, Egawa-rō, covets the Elixir of Immortality. He colludes with Meng Shou, a traitor from the Su Family, to launch a deadly attack. Troops slaughter the Su Family members who guarded the Elixir for generations. The massacre leaves the entire lineage tragically destroyed. Su Yibai, the head of the family, faces the Wokou bandits with unyielding integrity. He refuses their threats, resulting in his forceful abduction. Prisoners confine him in the Ten Thousand Snakes Prison to inflict brutal torture. Meanwhile, the young Su Qingli survives the carnage by taking the Elixir of Immortality. Qingmu, the Sect Master of the Xiaoyao Sword Sect, takes the child in as a disciple. He brings Su Qingli back to the mountains to begin rigorous training in the martial arts.
