Little treasure

The Story

Amber always felt invisible, overshadowed by Ethan, the school’s dazzling star, under her mother’s relentless manipulation. Ten years later, their paths collide at a clinic when she suffers from a urinary tract infection. The awkwardness deepens when he turns out to be her blind date. Expecting rejection, she blocks him, only for him to become unexpectedly clingy. A drunken night leads to a one-night stand, and she flees before dawn, convinced she is unworthy of him. When formaldehyde in her new apartment triggers a severe asthma attack, leaving her penniless and homeless, she has no choice but to move into Ethan’s home. They attempt to maintain strict boundaries, but constant entanglements spark ambiguous feelings. Amber believes his attention is genuine, until she discovers he still harbors a crush on a high school classmate. He uses her presence merely as a shield against his family’s marriage arrangements.
