Nabdao is sold by her father to settle family debts owed to Jakrin. Though Jakrin appears coerced by the arrangement, he controls every move with calculated precision. He uses feigned gentleness and victimhood to ensnare Nabdao, pulling her into his life before she even realizes the game he is playing.
