Mother, I Am No Longer Your Daughter

The Story

School tormentors target Chloe, but her biased mother dismisses her claims as habitual lies. Her sister Mia compounds the abuse by framing Chloe with false testimony. After her mother locks her in a basement and nearly allows a sexual assault, Chloe takes action. She utilizes secretly recorded evidence to expose the family's cruelty. The teenager brings her bullies, mother, and sister to court. She decisively leaves the household behind. Valerie, a retired teacher, takes Chloe in. Under Valerie's gentle care, Chloe renames herself Lena. She graduates with honors. Lena finally understands that family is not a bond of blood, but of love.
