My Best Friend’s Homecoming Betrayal

The Story

Maya has built her life on a sixteen-year foundation of trust in Jake, yet he shatters that bond in a single night. After kissing cheer captain Sloane, he knocks Maya unconscious, ties her to a Homecoming float, and allows the entire school to label her a stalker. Jake expects her to forgive him, don his jersey, and return to his side without question. She rejects that demand and books a one-way flight to Seattle. At a new school, she discovers genuine friends who help expose the edited video used against her. She also meets a basketball captain who respects her boundaries and supports her independence. Maya builds a future that Jake never imagined she could achieve without him. He now seeks to bring her back after she has already proven she no longer needs him.
