My Contract Husband Is a Dragon

The Story

Sera Bennett’s life shatters at the Imperial Midsummer Ball when she discovers her fiancé Michael and her friend Laura in an affair. Michael, destined to serve as a duke's guardsman, mocks her lowly status as a seamstress before she strikes him and flees. In her desperation, she crashes into the arms of Duke Alexander Drake, the empire’s guardian and Michael’s patron. Fueled by rage, she seduces him that very night. The next morning, he presents a church-blessed marriage contract instead of payment. Sera accepts the arrangement, believing it is a strategic alliance to gain power against her betrayers, while he seeks only physical companionship. They agree to part after one year. However, Alexander hides a dangerous secret. He is the last ancient black dragon, sealed for centuries, and Sera’s kiss is the sole cure for his volatile power. The blood pact binds their souls forever. As married life unfolds, his strange fevers and odd behavior challenge the simplicity of their temporary agreement.
