My Dead Husband Came Back a Kingpin

The Story

Grace’s wedding day turns to ash when her husband Jack is abruptly deployed overseas. Weeks later, he vanishes and is presumed dead. She remains to care for her ailing mother-in-law and support her brother-in-law Ivan, a high school student, from their shabby garage. Seven years pass before Ivan returns as a border narcotics cop. He witnesses gang debtors publicly humiliating Grace at the shop. United by shared hardship, a protective bond, and forbidden desire, the siblings-in-law fall in love. Just as their relationship blossoms, Jack reappears alive. He now serves as a cartel enforcer. His return plunges the family into ruin.
