My Female Kin Took My Beloved, So I United With The Emperor

The Story

Cassian breaks their Mate Claim Ceremony by choosing Maris instead, citing a need to save her from the Council. He then attempts to steal the moonstone necklace of the narrator’s deceased mother, forcing the chain to snap and severing the last bond that kept her waiting. With only three days remaining before the Council sends her to Rowan Vale, the dying heir of the Lycan king, everyone pities her fate. However, Rowan distinguishes himself by asking if she chooses him freely. This simple question changes everything, leading her to unite with the Emperor rather than submit to her previous fate. The shattered necklace and Cassian’s betrayal mark the end of her hesitation, while Rowan’s respect offers a path forward defined by her own agency.
