The Story

Orphaned at six, Claire finds a new home with her father's friend Reed, whom she affectionately calls Uncle. Twelve years pass under his roof until Claire falls deeply for the man who is twelve years her senior. On her eighteenth birthday, she confesses her love, only to face immediate rejection. Reed brings home his girlfriend, Delina, in an effort to keep Claire at a distance. Despite this barrier, Claire continues to pursue him. After another drunken night, the two cross the line, though Reed wakes up with no memory of the event. Delina actively sows discord between them. Heartbroken, Claire leaves without looking back, already carrying Reed's child.
