My Wife Ran Away Again

The Story

The Young Marshal publicly declares his wife a naive country girl who requires constant protection from socialites. These same socialites, having been upstaged, question who is actually doing the bullying. He insists she is gentle and ignorant of medicine or firearms, a claim directly contradicted by her cured patients and dead enemies who demand to know if he is blind. While boasting heroically that his word is law, he simultaneously kneels on a washboard. The adjutants of the Warlord mansion watch this display with heavy sighs, begging him to maintain a shred of dignity. His public persona clashes violently with his domestic reality as he struggles to assert authority while physically grounded. The contrast between his loud proclamations of obedience and his actual position on the floor highlights a deep disconnect in his leadership.
