No Mercy for the Divine

The Story

Emma and Sarah stumble upon two snakes in the woods, where a powerful black one clings to Emma while a dying white one falls into Sarah's care. For a decade, Sarah works double shifts to nurse the frail creature, yet it never transforms. When a once-in-a-century flood strikes, the white snake awakens as a Holy Light Serpent and rescues only Emma. Sarah drowns in the churning water. She then opens her eyes to find herself returned to the very day they discovered the snakes. The strong black snake still clings to Emma, and the dying white one lies in Sarah's hands, forcing her to face the same fate once again.
