Not His Canary: All Episodes

The Story

Ellis replaces his sister Willa as the kept companion for CEO Ronan, expecting a quiet arrangement to simply collect the money and stay out of the way. Instead, Ronan hands him an unlimited card, and Ellis purchases discounted underwear. When Ronan asks about cars, Ellis requests a used Trek bike. He consistently refuses to make demands or spend wealth, tiptoeing through every interaction with careful restraint. This dynamic shatters at a charity gala when ex-boyfriend Callum publicly humiliates him. Ronan bids two million dollars plus one and places the paddle in Ellis's hand. He commands Ellis to spend the money and return every ounce of humiliation he has ever received. Ellis stops being a mere substitute and starts reaching out first. He transforms from someone who never dares to ask for anything into a person who claims his own worth. The relationship shifts from a temporary stand-in role into a bond defined by mutual choice and bold action.
